Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer

Job Overview

  • Location: Topeka, Kansas
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Required Qualifications

  • Echo Technologist (1 year of experience)
  • Echo Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
  • ARDMS or CCI
  • ARRT

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

  • Driver’s license or state ID
  • E-Verify
  • 7-year background check
  • Education verification
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Fingerprinting
  • Clear headshot for badge
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit test within 1 year of start
  • Tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • TB questionnaire if prior TB results are positive
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • 7-year work history verification
  • Unit-specific skills checklist annually

Additional Notes

  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, chemotherapy, TNCC, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification, and CPI are required only if applicable to the role
  • Color blindness testing is required for all candidates
