Ultrasound Technologist
Location: State College, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday
Overview
Performs ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Ultrasound Technologist (1 year of experience)
- Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a specialized training program in Ultrasonic Technology or on-the-job training with a registered sonographer
- 1 year of experience performing ultrasound procedures in a hospital, clinic, or physician’s office
Skills and Knowledge
- Medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Physician office procedures and ICD-9/CPT coding guidelines
- Ultrasound equipment, procedures, protocols, and safety hazards
- Ability to recognize normal and pathological features
- Clear communication and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and make simple adjustments
- Sonogram production and communication
