Respiratory Therapist
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in New Orleans, Louisiana
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirement
- Float requirement: N/A
- Accepts first-time travelers
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Louisiana
- Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- NICU experience
Additional Requirements
- Background check required
- Government-issued photo ID required
- E-Verify required
- State license verification required within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start
- TB screening and TB questionnaire required
- Tdap required within 10 years
- MMR immunity or vaccination documentation required
- Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation required
- Hepatitis B documentation required
- Drug screening required
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Employment application must include 7 years of work history with no gap greater than 30 days
- Skills checklist required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Core Part I, II, and III required and updated annually
- Competency exams required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Physical exam required within 12 months of start
- CPI may be completed onsite if not already certified and must be completed within 30 days of start
