Description
Travel RN - Telemetry
Location
- Alexandria, Louisiana
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend
- Holidays required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Details
- 36-bed unit
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- Telemetry monitoring in each room
- Floating to other units as needed
- Self-scheduling within guidelines
Skills and Experience
- Strong nursing background and knowledge
- Thorough assessment skills
- Attention to detail and recognition of condition changes
- Telemetry rhythm interpretation
- Meditech experience
Procedures
- PICC line removal
- Vas cath/temp cath removal
Work Environment
- Unit secretaries available daily from 0600 to 2200
- Patient care techs available at all times, with staffing based on census
Dress Code
- Ceil blue scrubs
- Must follow hospital hygiene and dress code policy
