Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Manchester, New Hampshire
  • 13-week assignment
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 6:15 PM to 6:45 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • No call
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Local travelers may have reduced rates

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Hampshire
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • Experience working with Infant patients
  • Experience working with Geriatric patients
  • Airway management experience
  • Mechanical ventilation management experience
  • ABG (arterial blood gas) interpretation experience
  • BiPAP experience
  • CPAP experience
  • Bronchoscope assistance experience
  • Trauma care experience
  • Community hospital experience
  • Emergency department (ER) experience
  • Adult ICU experience
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • CRTT
  • RRT
  • Experience with trauma, community hospital, ER, and adult ICU settings
  • Experience with airway management, medication administration, vent management, ABGs, oxygen therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer, BiPAP, CPAP, and bronchoscopy
  • Experience with infants through geriatrics; neonates preferred
  • Experience with Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, and LTV 1200/HT70 equipment

Work Setting and Responsibilities

  • Acute care community hospital with 300 beds
  • Adult med/surg, RT-driven protocols, adult critical care
  • Responsibilities include nebulizers, CPT, high-flow oxygen, NIV, cough assist, IPV, assisting with intubations and bronchoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and transport of mechanically ventilated patients
  • Pediatric ER and pediatrics only if competency is demonstrated
  • Not used in level 3 NICU

Additional Notes

  • New Hampshire license pending is accepted
  • Not eligible if the traveler has ever been a former employee at any facility associated with Solution Health
