Stepdown Cardiac Nurse

Job Overview

Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Cardiac Stepdown experience within the last year
1 year of Cardiac Stepdown experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Telemetry experience
Experience with Epic
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS

Work Expectations

Must float to other units or campuses as needed, if qualified
All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Average daily census: 24
Staffing ratio: 4:1

Additional Hiring Requirements

Driver’s license or state ID required for computer access and must be carried while on duty
E-Verify or attestation required
Seven-year background check required
OFAC, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG checks required
Education verification required
Badge photo required
Online orientation modules must be completed within 72 hours of assignment
Pre-assignment testing is required
Physical exam required within 1 year of start
Fit mask / respirator fit test required for onsite clinical candidates
TB screening required
Drug screening required within 1 year of start and updated annually
Flu vaccine documentation or approved exemption required
Employment application must include seven-year work history
