CRT NICU
Job Overview
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours
- Weekly hours: 36
- Weekend/holiday expectations: Every other weekend required; holiday coverage expected
- Floating: Between Adult and NICU
Required Qualifications
- Valid Maryland Respiratory Therapist license
- 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience
Preferred Qualifications
- ED experience
- ACLS
Clinical Skills and Responsibilities
- Airway management and suctioning
- Extubation and airway placement
- Pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection
- Tracheostomy suctioning
- ABG interpretation and analysis
- Ventilator and respiratory support management, including HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Assist in high-risk delivery and umbilical blood gases

Additional Notes
- Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are subject to local rate rules
- Scrubs are not provided; required color is ceil blue
- Charting system: Cerner
