CVOR RN Travel Contract

Overview

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day/evening rotating schedule
• Hours: 40 per week

Schedule

• Day and evening shift rotation is required.
• Schedule options include 2x8-hour and 2x12-hour shifts, or 5x8-hour shifts.
• Call is required: 2–4 weeknight calls and 1–2 weekend calls per 4-week schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• CVOR experience with at least 2 years of experience
• CVOR experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Flu vaccination required starting 10/31/25 through Winter 2026, with no exemptions
• 2 recent verified professional references from managers or supervisors

Clinical Focus

• Adult cardiac surgery, vascular, and thoracic patients
• High-acuity and complex cases

Procedures / Case Mix

• Cardiac: aortic aneurysm repair, MVR, AVR, CABG, ECMO, heart transplant, MAZE, LVAD/RVAD, aortic balloon/Impella devices
• Thoracic: VATS wedge resection, VATS/open lobectomy, esophagectomy, bronchoscopy, EGD, mediastinal mass removal, lung transplant, hiatal hernia repair
• Vascular: AAA, EVAR, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistulas, fem-distal bypass, fem-fem bypass, SMA bypass, vein stripping/ablation

Additional Notes

• Unit is described as flexible with time-off requests and scheduling.
• COVID vaccination is not required.
