Description

Stepdown Cardiac RN

Overview

  • Travel/contract RN position in Columbia, South Carolina
  • 13-week assignment
  • Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • Weekend rotation required
  • Holidays as needed
  • Patient ratio: 1:5
  • On-call not required
  • Floating may be required between like units and campuses based on census/staffing needs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • Cardiac Stepdown (2 years of experience)
  • Cardiac Stepdown experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule Notes

  • Block scheduling may be considered with manager approval and based on unit needs

Additional Considerations

  • First-time travelers are accepted, though travel experience is preferred
  • Local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis
  • RTO must be submitted with the application and is subject to facility approval

Compliance / Pre-Start Items

  • Proof of 2 clinical references, with at least one from the same unit
  • Annual background check
  • Education verification
  • Nursys verification as applicable
  • Physical exam within 90 days of start
  • Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start
  • COVID vaccination documentation or declination
  • Flu vaccination documentation or approved exemption during flu season
  • RespSafety clearance
  • Completion of required onboarding forms, modules, and badge photo before start
