Occupational Therapist

Location

  • Moses Lake, Washington

Role summary

  • Provides occupational therapy services to outpatient patients, including assessment, treatment, care, and patient/family education.
  • Includes responsibility for an elbow/wrist/hand program with mentorship available from an experienced provider.

Required qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program.
  • Advanced degree or training.
  • One year of outpatient care experience.
  • Hand therapy and splinting experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Obtain patient medical and social history and current status information.
  • Evaluate patients, develop care plans, administer treatments, and adjust treatment as needed.
  • Document care in the electronic medical record.
  • Complete daily billing procedures.
  • Provide direction to support staff.
  • Monitor patient care equipment and the work environment.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to perform occasional standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, crouching, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to handle heavy physical work, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires manual dexterity, mobility, good reading eyesight, visual acuity, and strong communication skills.
