Location: New Albany, Indiana
Schedule: 3rd shift, 7p–7a
Hours: 36 per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Overview

Registered Nurse role providing direct patient care on an observation unit, including assessments, treatments, care coordination, discharge support, and patient/family education.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• DOU - Direct Observation Unit experience within the last year
• 1 year of DOU - Direct Observation Unit experience
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Education

• BSN

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
• Carry out nursing interventions, treatments, and medication administration within scope of practice
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately
• Coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient/family education
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks as appropriate
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities
