Registered Nurse (RN) — Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Location: Bay City, Michigan
Shift: Days
Schedule: 12 hours per day
Contract length: 13 weeks
Employment type: Temp

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Role Summary

Monitor vital signs and level of consciousness as patients recover from anesthesia.
Manage airway and respiratory function.
Administer medications and fluids for post-operative symptom and pain control.
Assess surgical sites, dressings, and physical condition for bleeding or complications.
Recognize adverse reactions and initiate emergency interventions when needed.
Document patient records and communicate with the care team.
