Description
Neuro ICU RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Aurora, Colorado
- 13-week assignment
- 12-hour day and night rotation
- 36 hours per week
- On-call: No
- Weekend work required per unit needs
- Floating required, including to sister facilities in the metro region as needed
- RTO allowed up to 10 days total, but not during these blackout dates:
- September 2–12, 2026
- October 25–November 4, 2026
- November 22–December 2, 2026
- December 20, 2026–January 3, 2027
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Neuro ICU (2 years of experience)
- Neuro ICU experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care in a Neuro ICU
- Perform hourly neurological assessments
- Manage intracranial pressure
- Manage external ventricular drains
- Care for subarachnoid hemorrhage patients
- Manage post-thrombectomy patients
- Manage post-craniotomy patients

- 24-bed neurosurgical ICU
- Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Level I Trauma Center
- High-acuity, fast-paced surgical ICU
