RN - PACU

Job Overview

Travel RN position in Wichita, Kansas
36 hours per week
13-week contract
Seasonal assignment
Shift: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

Recovery Room / PACU
30-bed unit
Patient ratio: 1 RN to 2 patients; 1 RN to 1 patient
On-call required with a 30-minute response time

Preferred

Flexible with hours
Prior Meditech experience

Common Procedures

Craniotomies
Orthopedic cases

Work Environment

Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC/charge and 12 nurses
Night shift staffing includes 2 RNs, sometimes on call instead of scheduled shifts
Patient experience is a priority
Ideal candidate has a great attitude and handles stress well
