Neuro ICU
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Springfield, Oregon
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift, 3x12 hours
- 36 hours per week
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Start date: ASAP, typically 4 weeks from offer
Unit Details
- Ratios: 1:2
- Float requirements include CVICU, NTICU, Telemetry, Acute Care, Observation, and ED boarding
- On-call is not required
- Weekend scheduling is based on unit needs
- Block scheduling flexibility is preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Neuro ICU experience: 2 years of experience
- Neuro ICU experience within the last year
- 2 or more completed travel assignments
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias
- Multi-system organ failure management
- Thermoregulation: hypothermia/hyperthermia management
- Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention care
- IV insulin protocols
- Chronic/Acute Renal failure management
- Arterial line management
- Blood Product Administration
- Central line care/management
- PICC line management
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC, TCAR, CCRN, CSC, SCRN, and TCRN
Clinical Experience Highlights
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Multi-system organ failure
- Cardiac cath/intervention care
- IV insulin protocols
- Renal failure care
- Arterial line, central line, and PICC management
- IV starts
- Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
- BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and ventilator management
- Chest tube care
- ABG interpretation
- ETT/NT suctioning
- Infection prevention and isolation precautions
- Wound vac and surgical wound care
- Temporary pacers
