Operating Room Nurse

Job Overview

Travel/contract role in Kingsport, Tennessee
Day shift: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with on-call
Contract length: 13 weeks
40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Operating Room experience within the last year
1 year of Operating Room experience
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Compliance and Onboarding

16 hours of nonbillable orientation
General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online CBLs
Background check required within 30 days of start
Education verification required
EPLS/GSA/SAM check required within 30 days of start
HHS/OIG check required within 30 days of start
Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry check required for candidates licensed or certified in Tennessee or working at a Tennessee facility
Physical exam required within 1 year of start
Drug screen required within 14 days of start
Fit testing completed onsite for candidates with patient contact
Photo for badge required within 48 hours of signed contract
Staff info form required within 24 hours of signed contract
Respirator medical evaluation questionnaire required within 48 hours of signed contract

Health Documentation

TB clearance or chest X-ray required
Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documentation required
Hepatitis B documentation required
Varicella immunity documentation required
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season

Additional Notes

Candidate is expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
