RN - NICU

Overview

Travel RN position in Dallas, Texas
Specialty: NICU
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36
Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends and holidays

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with Neonate patients
Experience with preemies at least 28 weeks and above
Management of central lines
Respiratory management up to and including intubated patients
Experience with surgical patients
Experience with cardiac patients
Experience with patients less than 27 weeks
Care of tracheostomy infants
Experience with broviacs

Unit Details

108-bed unit
Patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:4
Staffed with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs
Floating may include PICU, Pediatrics, CICU, and care for patients under 2 years old

Clinical Experience Needed

Experience with preemies 28 weeks and above
Experience managing central lines
Experience with respiratory management, including intubated patients
Experience with surgical patients, cardiac patients, infants with trachs, and infants with broviacs
