Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Location: Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 28
- Number of Staff: 19
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Equipment: Ventilators, Baxter IV Pumps
- EMR System: Meditech Expanse
- Shift Staffing (Day & Night): 1 CNC, 5 RNs, 1 Triage, 1 Medic, 1 US
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- CPI
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC certification preferred
Typical Procedures Performed
- Intubation
- Central line management
Work Environment & Culture
- Team-oriented and flexible personality fit preferred
- Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
- Rotating weekends required
- No floating to other units
Additional Notes
- On-call duties may be required
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required
