Job Summary
- Hospital-based Med Surg/Telemetry nursing role with telemetry monitoring responsibilities.
- Patient population includes telemetry, post-op surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients.
- Unit has 16 beds with a 5:1 ratio.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Orthopedics experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Driver's License
- Drip experience with Insulin
- Drip experience with Cardizem
- Drip experience with Heparin
- Drip experience with Amiodarone
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Telemetry experience
- EPIC charting experience
Clinical Skills / Experience
- Ability to read and measure telemetry strips
- Experience with insulin, Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone drips
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
