RRT Pediatrics

Job Overview

Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
On-call: Not required
Floating: May float within scope depending on experience
First-time travelers: Accepted
Local candidates: Accepted on a case-by-case basis

Required Qualifications

Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS issued by American Heart Association
NRP
Experience working with Neonate patients
Experience working with Infant patients

Holiday rotation required
Block scheduling may be accommodated with prior approval, but is not guaranteed

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

Proof of 2 clinical references
Complete application/resume with PTO, contract assignments, agency names, and no unaccounted gaps
Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked for the past 7 years
Education verification required
Physical exam updated annually
Fit test within 90 days prior to start and renewed annually
Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
Annual TB questionnaire
Drug screen within 90 days of start
COVID vaccination documentation or declination
Flu vaccination documentation or approved exemption when in season
South Carolina state exclusion list clearance
Orientation modules must be completed before start
Color blind testing prior to start

Additional Notes

RTO must be submitted at time of application
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Parking requires a one-time $20 pass for nights and weekends
Hurricane season assignments may include emergency response duties
