Description

Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

  • Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
  • Floating: As needed within scope
  • Call: Not required
  • Locals accepted: Yes
  • First-time travelers accepted: Yes
  • Block scheduling: Willing to discuss during interview

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Washington
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • NRP
  • C-EFM

Additional Requirements

  • Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/in school for the past 7 years
  • Education verification
  • Competency exam
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable
  • 2 professional references completed within 1 year of start

Health Documentation

  • Tdap vaccine or signed declination
  • TB clearance documentation
  • TB questionnaire
  • Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documentation
  • Hepatitis B documentation or signed declination
  • Varicella immunity documentation
  • 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccine or declination during flu season; mask required if declining

State-Specific Requirement

  • If using a multistate license from outside Washington, completion of the Washington BON-approved 6-hour suicide prevention training is required before working in Washington
