Description
PCU Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Greensboro, North Carolina
- Night shift, 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Floating may be required between campuses
- Weekend coverage is expected on a rotating basis
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- Ability to manage TR Bands
- Central line management
- PICC line management
- CVP monitoring
- Experience with Epic
Clinical Focus
- Cardiac patient population, including acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, STEMI, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, syncope, atrial fibrillation, Tikosyn loading, heart failure, and post-cardiac cath care
- May also care for overflow progressive care patients
Additional Notes
- Uses Epic
- May be expected to work with rapid response teams and manage central lines, PICC lines, TR bands, and CVP monitoring
