Clinic RN – Radiation Oncology

Location

  • Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Employment Type

  • Contract

Schedule

  • 4x10-hour shifts on weekdays
  • 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Oncology (2 years of experience)
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association

Role Summary

  • Provides nursing care for patients undergoing radiation oncology treatment
  • Assesses patients, provides nursing interventions, and supports patients and families through diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
  • Assists with patient evaluation and examination with the Radiation Oncologist
  • Serves as a liaison between Radiation Oncology and other departments, hospitals, physician offices, and support resources
  • Helps coordinate referrals for recovery, rehabilitation, nursing home care, hospice, and nutritional services

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate oncology patient care with interdisciplinary staff
  • Flexibility and strong organization
  • Ability to care for patients across varying age groups and cultural backgrounds
  • Knowledge of chronic illness and comorbidity management
  • Familiarity with current oncology, immunology, pharmacology, community health, and cultural sensitivity practices

Additional Notes

  • Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
  • Colorado CAPS registration may take up to two weeks to obtain
  • Guaranteed hours do not apply on holidays for clinic workers
