ER RN
Job Overview
- Travel/contract ER RN role in Columbia, South Carolina
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- No call
- Weekends and holidays required as needed
- First-time travelers accepted if they have 2 years of ER experience
- Local candidates accepted within 60 miles
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- 2 years of experience in ED - Emergency Department
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Experience with Epic
Work Expectations
- May need to float between DT and NE campuses based on census and staffing needs
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Block scheduling may be requested before assignment, but is not guaranteed
Compliance and Onboarding
- Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
- Education verification must be completed
- 2 clinical references required, with at least one from the same unit
- Current application or resume required
- Annual skills checklist required
- Work history verification for the last 3 clinical employers through a third-party vendor
- South Carolina state exclusion list required
- Orientation modules must be completed before start
- Job description and contractor forms must be completed before start
- Confidentiality and security agreement required before start
- Request for ID badge required before start
- Physical exam required within 90 days of start and updated annually
- Tdap required within 10 years of start or declination
- TB screening required within 90 days of start
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation required
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination required
- 10-panel drug screen required within 90 days of start
- Respirator clearance required annually
- COVID vaccination is not required but is highly preferred
Additional Notes
- Hurricane season assignments may include emergency response duties
- Parking is free with a pass
