Emergency Room RN

Overview

• Contract role in Winnebago, Nebraska
• Night shift
• 36 hours per week
• Emergency department nursing role providing direct care for acutely ill and critically ill patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska
• ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• NRP
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting

Key Responsibilities

• Triage emergency patients using history, physical assessment, and chief complaint
• Provide nursing care for acutely ill and critically ill patients
• Administer physician-prescribed treatments, including medications, IV fluids, and blood transfusions
• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support patient care
• Initiate patient education plans as prescribed
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Document care accurately and efficiently
• Maintain punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism, and HIPAA compliance

Physical and Language Requirements

• Able to lift 20–50 lbs and assist with patient transfers
• Able to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods
• Able to use hands for computer, phone, and medical equipment operation
• Fluent in English, with strong reading, writing, speaking, and professional communication skills
