Job Overview

  • Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • Hours: 40 per week

Role Summary

  • Inpatient Occupational Therapist role that primarily works in the inpatient rehab unit and also floats between inpatient rehab and outpatient.
  • Performs clinical evaluations, creates individualized treatment plans, and provides treatment for patients with a variety of disabilities, injuries, and diseases.
  • Typical workload is 8–10 patients per 8-hour day.
  • Works as the solo OT on weekends.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in Florida
  • Experience/competency in acute care, ortho/trauma, and stroke
  • Minimum 3 years of experience preferred

Required Certifications

  • BLS via AHA
  • HCP-CPR

Compliance / Screening Requirements

  • Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks, abuse registry review, and screening for disqualifying offenses
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • E-Verify
  • Proof of name change, if applicable
  • Background check within 6 months of start, covering all locations lived/worked/in school in the past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Education verification
  • Physical exam
  • Annual fit test
  • Negative TB or chest X-ray
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • MMR immunity documentation
  • Hepatitis B documentation
  • Varicella immunity documentation
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
  • Flu vaccination documentation, declination, or exemption during flu season
  • 2 professional references
  • Annual skills checklist
