MS/Tele Float Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Conway, South Carolina
• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week
• 5 night shifts needed
• Adult patient population

Unit Details

• Medical-surgical/telemetry float role
• Floats to other medical-surgical/telemetry units as needed
• Telemetry monitoring on the unit is required
• Cares for medical, surgical, and cardiac patients
• Primary IV skills expected

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Float pool experience
• PCU/step-down experience

Scheduling and Work Expectations

• Every other weekend required
• Self-scheduling and blocked scheduling allowed
• No first-time travelers for float
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• No radius restriction
• Preferred no time off requests for holidays; one holiday may be considered

Additional Notes

• Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6, with flexing to 1:7 when necessary
