Cath Lab RN Travel Contract

Overview

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Hours: 40 per week
• Call: Rotating call schedule with additional call shifts as needed
• Float: Required
• Orientation: Bi-weekly orientations
• Time off: Holiday time off is not accommodated during listed holiday periods

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Cardiac Cath Lab (1 year of experience)
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Ability to circulate in the Cath Lab
• Conscious sedation skills
• Ability to float to other units
• Drivers license or state ID
• 2 supervisory references
• 7-year work history with no gaps over 30 days without explanation
• Unit-specific skills checklist completed within the last year
• Color blind testing within 12 months prior to start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• TB questionnaire
• Drug test within 45 days of start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption if applicable
• Background check and SSN trace
• Employment application with active nursing license details

Preferred

• TNCC

• Local candidates within 75 miles are paid less than travelers
