Labor and Delivery Nurse
Overview
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Start timing: ASAP, with about 4 weeks for compliance; allow 5+ weeks if Alaska license is pending
- Shift: Nights, 3x12
- Hours: 36 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
- AWHONN
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- AWHONN Intermediate
- NRP
Schedule / Work Expectations
- Weekend shifts are shared equitably across the team
- Floating may occur 0–3 times per month
- When floating from OB, duties may include helping hands, sitter/camera watching, or CNA-type work
