Cath Lab RN Travel Contract

Overview

Specialty: Registered Nurse
Location: Marrero, Louisiana
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday–Friday, 5x8s, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM
Hours: 40 per week
Call: On-call required based on unit needs, with rotating weekend call

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Louisiana
Cardiac Cath Lab (3 years of experience)
Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Experience with Epic
NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
State license verification within 30 days of start

Preferred Qualifications

Compliance / Onboarding

Government-issued photo ID
E-Verify
Background check within 6 months of start, covering all locations lived/worked/in school in the past 7 years
EPLS/GSA/SAM within 30 days of start
HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
Medication test/pharmacology competency exam within 12 months of start and updated annually
Competency exam within 12 months of start and updated annually
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 12 months of start and updated annually
Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III, each updated annually
Skills checklist within 12 months of start and updated annually
Employment application with 7 years of work history and no gaps over 30 days

Health Requirements

Physical exam within 12 months of start
Tdap within 10 years
Negative TB test or chest X-ray
TB questionnaire, updated annually
Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
Drug screen within 30 days of start
Seasonal flu vaccination or documentation during flu season

Additional Notes

CPI Blue Card may be completed onsite if not already certified, and must be completed within 30 days of start
