Travel RN - PCU
Overview
- Specialty: PCU
- Location: Wichita, Kansas
- Employment type: Travel
- Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit Details
- 14-bed unit
- Patient ratio: 4:1
- Equipment used on the unit includes chest tubes, IV pumps, and various drains
- No invasive procedures are performed on the unit
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kansas
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a Hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of medication drips, central line care, and catch recovery
Work Expectations
- Must be willing to float to other units
- Every other weekend required
