Travel RN Med Surg

Overview

Travel nursing assignment in Denton, Texas
13-week contract
36 hours per week
Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Med Surg (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting

Preferred Experience

Experience with Meditech

Unit Details

Medical-surgical unit with 43 beds
Patient ratio: 1:5-6 on days, 1:6 on nights
Rotating weekends required
Self-scheduling allowed within reason of a balanced schedule

Work Environment

Handles general surgery cases except cardiac and open neuro surgery
May float to medical unit and ER to provide med-surg hold nurse support
Team-oriented, willing to ask questions when unsure of processes
