Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Colorado
• Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in a hospital setting

Preferred Experience

• Pulmonary diagnostics
• Cardiac diagnostics, including EKG, Holter monitor, Event Monitor, and cardiac stress testing

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care as ordered by the physician
• Monitor mechanical ventilation and ventilator patients
• Administer medications and perform patient assessments
• Perform airway management, suctioning, and assist with intubation
• Draw arterial blood gases
• Interpret flow-volume and pressure-volume curves to guide clinical changes
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete patient charge reconciliation
• Verify respiratory care orders and communicate patient status during handoff
• Assist with orientation and training of new staff and students
• Participate in in-services, meetings, patient care rounds, and required training
• Support care for neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, and critically ill patients
