Description
PCU Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role for a registered nurse in a critical care stepdown setting
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Will float to CV stepdown and ICU overflow areas
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Florida
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- Epic charting experience
Compliance / Onboarding
- Government-issued photo ID
- Emergency contact form before start
- Background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM screening
- HHS/OIG screening
- AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance on file before start
- Physical exam within 6 months of start
- Fit test within 12 months of start
- Tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
- 10-panel drug screen including THC within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or declination on file year-round
- COVID-19 vaccination required before start; exemptions accepted
- 2 professional references within 3 years of start
- Skills checklist annually
Facility Requirements
- Parking registration form
- HealthStream modules completed during the first week onsite
