Endoscopy RN

Job Overview

  • Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • On-call: Required for after-hours, weekends, and holidays
  • On-call response time: 30 minutes

Role Summary

  • Must function independently in all areas of Endoscopy, including advanced endoscopy procedures such as EUS and ERCP
  • Must also be competent with pulmonary procedures such as bronchoscopy and EBUS
  • Experience with bariatric procedures and ION Robot is preferred
  • May be assigned to an emergency team during an emergency event and may be expected to remain at the facility or serve on the relief team

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Louisiana
  • Endoscopy experience within the last year
  • 2 years of Endoscopy experience
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • NURSYS verification
  • Current/valid government photo ID
  • Resume/application
  • Skills checklist
  • Employment history with explanation for gaps, if applicable

  • Background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM screening
  • HHS/OIG screening
  • Sex offender search
  • Competency exam
  • Physical exam
  • Fit testing for mask use
  • TB screening
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, and Tdap documentation
  • Drug screen
  • Flu season vaccination, declination, or approved exemption documentation
  • CLEAR enrollment for workforce identity verification
  • Photo for badge

Additional Notes

  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate mission- and values-based behavior consistent with a full-time employee
  • Emergency event assignment expectations are part of the contract acceptance
