RN - ICU

Job Overview

Location: San Antonio, Texas
Employment type: Travel
Specialty/unit: ICU
Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
2 or more years of total travel experience
BLS
ACLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in a(n) Hospital setting

Preferred Experience

Rotoprone
CRRT exposure (Prismaflex)
Meditech experience

Unit Details

Travelers are required to float
May float to other areas when census is low, including another ICU in the system
Common procedures include central lines, bronchoscopy, and bedside trachs

Work Expectations

Work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
Must follow floating guidelines, attendance policies, and unit acknowledgment requirements

Dress Code

Navy scrubs
Undershirts and jackets must be white, navy, or black only
No acrylic nails
Nails must be no longer than 1/4 inch, clean, and without chipped polish
Hair must be worn off the shoulders and in a natural color
Tattoos should be covered whenever possible
Visible piercings other than ears are not allowed
