Job Overview

• Location: Beckley, West Virginia
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Hours per week: 40
• Setting: Infusion Center
• Start/orientation: Orientation occurs every other Thursday

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Infusion (2 years of experience)
• Infusion experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• Driver's License
• Candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility
• Clean license with no prior suspensions
• Social Security card
• One reference from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse from a facility worked within 1 year of start
• Annual specialty skills checklist
• Annual color blind testing
• Annual medication test/pharmacology competency exam
• Annual competency exam
• Annual fit testing
• Negative TB test within 3 months of start
• Tdap vaccination after age 11
• Hepatitis B immunity or declination if titer is negative
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity or required boosters
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• COVID-19 vaccination proof or signed declination form

Experience / Skills

• Patient ratio experience: 1:4
• Daily caseload: 70
• Required skills:

  • CBCT/kV/mV imaging
  • External beam therapy
  • IMRT
  • Prophylactic treatments
  • Radiation safety
• Preferred skills:

  • Infusion center experience
  • Inpatient and outpatient oncology experience

• First-time travelers are accepted
• On-call is not required
• Floating within scope is not required
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Pending state license is accepted
• Flu vaccination is available onsite at no cost to the candidate
