Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit in a Level III Trauma Center with 167 beds.
Serve a diverse patient population of all ages.
Work in a fully accredited facility with a strong community presence.

Unit Details

Department: Medical Surgical Combination 2
Shift: See shift details (36 hours per week guaranteed)
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call Requirements: As needed
Float: Possibility to float to similar med/surg units
Equipment: Omnicell medication dispensing system
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
IV insertion

Skills and Experience

Experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing required
IV insertion skills required
Professional demeanor and appearance required (scrubs acceptable; casual wear not allowed)

Additional Information

Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
Patient ratios and number of beds on the unit not specified
No specific dress code color required for scrubs
