Description
Medical Surgical Float Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Anderson, South Carolina
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted
- Must be willing to float to other medical-surgical units as needed
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- RTO must be submitted with the application
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of float experience
- Float experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Additional Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID
- 2 clinical references
- Resume/application
- Photo for badge before start
- Must complete required onboarding, orientation, and acknowledgements before starting
- Must pass required background screening and health clearance requirements before start
Compliance Notes
- Annual fit testing is required
- Must comply with seasonal flu vaccination or exemption requirements
- Must complete annual or required renewal updates for applicable screenings and documentation
