Endoscopy RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Columbia, South Carolina
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Must stay within 30 minutes of the facility to respond to call
• May float within scope to meet facility needs, though this is highly unlikely
• First-time travelers are accepted

Schedule

• Weekend requirement: every third weekend
• On-call is required
• Call includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on weekends, plus some weekday call Monday through Thursday
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Endoscopy (2 years of experience)
• Endoscopy experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Work Setting

• Acute care hospital
• Endoscopy specialty
• Ratios: 1:1 in the procedure suite; 4:1 in pre-op and discharge
• Scrubs provided: navy blue

• Local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Local radius: 60 miles

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• Annual background check
• Education verification must be completed
• 2 clinical references required, including at least one from the same unit
• Annual skills checklist
• Current application or resume with all employment gaps accounted for
• Physical exam within 90 days of start, updated annually
• Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation required
• Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination required
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• COVID vaccination documentation or declination required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Respirator safety clearance required annually
• Orientation modules and facility onboarding forms must be completed before start

• Hurricane season assignments may include emergency response duties
• Parking is free with a pass
