Description
Endoscopy RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Columbia, South Carolina
- Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Must stay within 30 minutes of the facility to respond to call
- May float within scope to meet facility needs, though this is highly unlikely
- First-time travelers are accepted
Schedule
- Weekend requirement: every third weekend
- On-call is required
- Call includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on weekends, plus some weekday call Monday through Thursday
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Endoscopy (2 years of experience)
- Endoscopy experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Work Setting
- Acute care hospital
- Endoscopy specialty
- Ratios: 1:1 in the procedure suite; 4:1 in pre-op and discharge
- Scrubs provided: navy blue
Location / Travel Considerations
- Local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis
- Local radius: 60 miles
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Annual background check
- Education verification must be completed
- 2 clinical references required, including at least one from the same unit
- Annual skills checklist
- Current application or resume with all employment gaps accounted for
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, updated annually
- Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation required
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination required
- 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- COVID vaccination documentation or declination required
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Respirator safety clearance required annually
- Orientation modules and facility onboarding forms must be completed before start
Additional Notes
- Hurricane season assignments may include emergency response duties
- Parking is free with a pass
