Description
RN - ICU
Overview
- Travel RN position in Nashville, Tennessee
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Details
- 16-bed ICU
- Typical patient ratio is 2:1, with occasional 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing
- Uses Meditech for documentation
- Contract staff are expected to float to med/surg if needed
Scheduling
- Schedule is built in 4-week increments
- Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule
- Some self-scheduling is available, with manager adjustments as needed
Clinical Skills / Procedures
- Central line insertion
- Arterial line insertion
- Lumbar puncture
- Chest tube insertion
- EVD insertion
Equipment
- Ventilators
- EVDs
- CRRT
- SLED
- EV 1000
Patient Care Expectations
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and families
Dress Code
- Navy scrubs, top and bottom
