Labor and Delivery

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Topeka, Kansas
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:00–18:00
36 or 48 hour option
13-week contract
Unit accepts first-time travelers
50-mile local radius; locals not accepted

Unit / Clinical Setting

High Risk Labor & Delivery Unit
Includes OB Triage, Postpartum, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery
Care for laboring patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes
Handles gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
Procedures include C-Sections and External Cephalic Versions

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
FHM
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS as applicable
PALS as applicable
TNCC as applicable
CHEMO as applicable
MAB as applicable
CPI as applicable
NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
Color Blind Exam required for all candidates
