Overview

• Travel assignment in Manchester, New Hampshire
• 20-bed Intensive Care unit
• Mixed medical and surgical ICU
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Hampshire
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Telemetry experience
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with critical drips, vents, etc.
• Prior ICU experience

Unit Details

• Day shift staffing: 1 charge, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
• Night shift staffing: 1 charge, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
• Variable patient ratios based on acuity, including ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery 1:1, critical ICU/devices 1:1, typical ICU 1:2, and stepdown 1:3-4
• Equipment includes IV pumps, telemetry monitors, hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (nxstage), bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser, ventilator, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP

Procedures Performed

• Pericardialcentesis with drains left in place post-procedure
• Thoracentesis
• Central line insertion
• Arterial line insertion
• Chest tube insertion
• Intubation
• TEE cardioversion, TTE
• Transvenous pacing wire insertion

Float Scope

• Progressive Care

Schedule

• Every third weekend
• No call
