RN - Emergency Dept

Overview

Travel RN position in Alexandria, Louisiana
Full-time
Night shift: 7PM - 7AM
Start: ASAP
Contract length: 13 weeks
Temp to perm is a possibility

Unit / Patient Population

Very high acuity unit
Heavy volume of strokes, cardiovascular, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis cases
Some trauma cases may be seen, but this is not a trauma designated unit
Security is onsite 24-7

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
TNCC
De-escalation training
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty

Orientation / Onboarding

Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member
Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientation
Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is expected
