Certified Scrub Tech

Overview

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Employment type: Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours per week: 24
Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

Certified Scrub Tech position based at Canyon View Surgery Center.

Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room
Assist during surgery
Prepare patients for surgery by cleansing and disinfecting incision sites
Assist with patient positioning and draping to maintain sterility
Clean and restock the operating room after surgery
Maintain surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to prevent retained surgical items
Operate and maintain surgical equipment, including lights, suction machines, and sterilization tools

Required Qualifications

High school diploma
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
2 years of Certified Surgical Technologist experience
BLS

Preferred Qualifications

One year of related experience
