Medical Surgical RN

Overview

  • Travel/Contract assignment in Bend, Oregon
  • 13-week contract
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
  • 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oregon
  • Med Surg (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

  • Epic experience
  • NIHSS

Clinical Setting / Scope

  • Float required to all North Campus locations: Redmond, Prineville, and Madras
  • May float to any med surg unit in the system and any unit as a 1:1 observer
  • May be assigned as primary RN in any med surg department, as a 1:1 observer in any clinical department, or to the ED to care for boarding med surg patients
  • Cases include COPD, stroke, total joint, sepsis, colorectal surgery, bariatric surgery, pneumonia, trauma, altered mental status, renal failure, bowel obstruction, oncology, and withdrawal

Additional Notes

  • No scheduled on-call shifts; may be placed on standby
  • RTO restriction: 7 days
