Cardiac and Stepdown RN

Role Overview

Travel RN assignment in Marquette, Michigan
13-week contract
36 guaranteed hours per week
12-hour shifts
3 openings currently

Unit Details

Cardiac IMCU
36 beds
Trauma Level 2
Department/cost center: Medical Surgical Telemetry
Float requirements: yes
Call required only if census is low
Weekend schedule: every other weekend

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Cardiac patient populations experience
Chest tubes experience
Cardiac monitoring experience
Cardiac drips experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PCU/stepdown patient populations
Low level ICU skills

Clinical Focus

Cardiac population with trauma and stepdown level of care
Common diagnoses/treatments include chest pain, VATS, Stroke/TIA, pre- and post-open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular, and CHF

Additional Notes

Teamwork is a must
Blue or navy scrubs
No blue jeans
Candidate must live 60 miles or greater away to be considered travel
