ER Nurse
Overview
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, 4x12 hours, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
- Weekly hours: 48
- Scheduling note: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekend requirement: At least 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
- First-time travelers: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Requirements
- Drivers license or state ID
- E-Verify
- Background check
- Education verification
- Fingerprinting
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test within 1 year of start
- Tdap within 10 years of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Complete application/resume
- Unit-specific skills checklist
- 7-year work history verification
Notes
- Orientation and training may occur before fingerprint clearance, but the nurse cannot work on the unit until clearance is received.
- Some health documentation may be accepted with specific booster or exemption rules if initial results are negative or equivocal.
