Med Surg RN

Overview

Temp contract in West Des Moines, Iowa
Nights shift
13-week assignment
30-bed unit
Patient types: med surg and post op/spine
Float scope: all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Iowa
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
3 months or more of total travel experience within the previous 12 months
Strong heparin experience
Post-operative/surgical experience
Spine care experience
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
Experience with Epic
Driver's License
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications

Professional reference/reference check from within 24 months of today’s date

Additional Details

EPIC EMR experience is required
Must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed
NBO: 16 hours
Scrubs: navy blue, solids
Nurse-to-patient ratio: days 1:5, nights 1:6
