Description

RN - L&D

Overview

Travel RN role in Labor and Delivery.
Contract length: 13 weeks.
Location: Asheville, North Carolina.
Unit: Labor and Delivery.
Unit details: 16 beds; 1:1 and 1:2 patient ratios.
Floating area(s): MFMU, MOMB, NICU.
Weekends/on-call: not required; available upon approval.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina.
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience).
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year.
ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
AWHONN.
BLS issued by American Heart Association.
NRP.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients.
Experience working with Neonate patients.
Experience working with High Risk patients.
Immediate newborn care experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Circulating experience.

Unit Details

Day and night shift staff include charge nurse, PCT, CST, and RN.
Equipment includes Baxter Pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring.
EMR: Cerner, Fetal ink.

Procedures

Vaginal deliveries.
Cesarean sections.
D&C.
Cerclage.
C-Hyst.
